Should Gov. Paterson have insisted free Yankee WS tix?

One the one hand, the governor of the great state of New York probably just SHOULD be at Yankee Stadium for the World Series, right? No big shocker there. But what if the Yankees didn’t invite the state’s chief executive? What if, Governor Paterson, and his inner-circle, sort of demanded “five or six” tickets behind home plate for Game 1 of the Fall Classic against the Philadelphia Phillies. And, what if the face value of those tickets was about $6,000?And, THEN, what if— when asked about whether he would pay for them, the governor, or his associates, backdated checks to “make it look like” he paid for the pricey tickets, as he had promised. You can read the full, blistering report from the state office on public integrity RIGHT HERE. Turns out, Paterson’s aide, David Johnson, the guy who got him in hot water in the first place, joined him that night.
