“My Favorite Older Friend”
A friend is someone who picks you up when you fall, always right by your side with a smile that nobody can describe, a smile that is contagious. So many people fit into this category in my life: relatives, neighbors and others that I just can’t put into words. However, one person really is all this and more, that person is my bus driver Jack.
Jack is the kind of person you can’t live without; he’s the peanut butter to your jelly, the rock to your roll, and the macaroni to your cheese. For me, when I get up in the morning I can’t wait to get on the bus and see Jack. I love seeing him because I feel he is the person to go to when I need advice, a good laugh and is great company on those long bus rides. Jack is one of the best listeners in the world.
He has a way of making each day special and a way to make everyone happy. I can’t remember a time when I haven’t walked off his bus without a smile on my face. I remember once getting on the bus in such a bad mood for reasons that were ridiculous, and coming off the bus a totally different person, and that was because of Jack. I could pass on Jack’s good mood to the whole school it was so contagious! That is the type of thing that Jack strives for every day
All of these things are 100% true about Jack. His impact on others and his dazzling smile really make Jack my favorite older friend and that is why I picked him as my favorite older friend.
