Word For The Weekend

SHUCKS

[SHH-UK-SS]

DEF: The act of removing a husk or pod, as the outer covering of corn, hickory nuts, chestnuts, etc; ALSO used especially to express mild disappointment or embarrassment; used as a mild exclamation of disgust or regret. It’s what a lot of football & basketball players say when something doesn’t go their way. It’s also what I most often say after I stub my toe in the middle of the night. I will also use gosh, golly, darn, fooey, pooey and poopy.
