Word For The Weekend

Whatnot

[hwuht-not, hwot-, wuht-, wot-]

1.) A stand with shelves for small objects (books, knick-knacks, bric-a-brac, trinkets, and whatnot)

2.) Used to refer to an item or items that are not identified but are felt to have something in common with items already named. (Like at the end of definition #1.)

More examples: steaks, hamburgers, ribs, chicken wings and whatnot. Cupcakes, muffins, donuts, croissants and whatnot.

Pies, ice cream, apple cobbler, cheesecake and whatnot. What time is dinner? I’m getting hungry and whatnot.
